| Fairytale
Series ©1990-94
Fairytales, with their intertwining states of illusion and reality,
are an equivalent I use in speaking of these images. The visual mélange
of objects and allusions throws a twist on such constants as sexual
mores, humor, violence, desire, and transgression. The essence of a
fairytale resides in the disintegration and re-invention of the boundaries
of real and unreal, seen and imagined, and this alchemical essence is
the very quality I seek to instill in my artwork.
